Model DC
Direct Coupling
Model DC couples two shafts together.
Direct "Flexible" Coupling clutches are used to couple two shafts together. They are installed the same as any jaw type coupling, require no lubrication, run in either direction, and disengage at a preset torque. When disengaged, the driven shaft will slip or stop.

Through Bore
TB allows for a one-piece shaft through the limiter
Through Bore clutches are the same as Model DC except the bore is straight through for mounting on a long shaft. Pulleys, sprockets, or gears may be mounted on the driven shaft that will slip or stop when overload occurs.

Standard bores from 1/4 to 1 inch; specials available

Design Speed range -
1800 r.p.m. or less These clutches are designed as overload protectors only and are not to be run disengaged continuously.

Torque ratings may be easily adjusted by screwing the case together to increase torque or apart to decrease torque.

Shaft Extension
SX extends the length of an existing shaft
Shaft Extension clutches mount on the end of a shaft. They may be used with a coupling or with pulleys, sprockets, or gears for a side drive if an external bearing support is provided. Longer shaft extensions are available if needed. When a jam or overload occurs, the shaft will slip or stop.
